Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Authors I’d Love a New Book From.
We curated our author wish list for this post. To do this, we each selected 5 authors we wish had more books for us to read. We each discovered there are actually new books from one of our wish lists authors, so thank you Artsy Reader Girl for this prompt.
Alyssa
- Susanna Kearsley – She can’t possibly pump them out fast enough for me. I will read any new book she writes, but that apparently won’t be until spring of 2025.
- Amanda Hocking – I knew right away I would add her because I always wanted to know how the Hollowland series would end. (And writing this post I found she published a 3rd book last year. TWELVE years after the second book. Yes, I immediately bought it and yes, I am still leaving this as one of my choices to prove dreams do come true. LOL.)
- Bee Ridgway – I really enjoyed The River of No Return and would love to have read the whole saga. I did a quick Google search, but never found out why she stopped writing.
- Mark Adams – I’ve read his three travel-related books and really enjoyed all of them. He’s not just traveling, but unraveling a story. I search for new travel books from him every year, but the last one was in 2018.
- Michelle McNamara – Part of my obsession with I’ll Be Gone in the Dark is from growing up in California at the time of those murders, but the book is also just a well-written true crime. We’re fortunate the book was completed by her colleagues after her passing, but it’s a shame to lose her fantastic investigative journalism.
Meagan
- J. Michael Straczynski – My favorite read of last year was Together We Will Go. I’m really glad we did this prompt, because while searching I realized he did release a book recently. (So excited!).
- Emily Henry – I know I have two books of hers on my shelf now (I am currently reading one), but I love her books so much. They are always good, heartwarming stories and fast reads for me.
- Travis Baldree – I have ADORED both of the books written by Travis and would love to read more, cozy vibe books by him.
- Ali Hazelwood – I’ve read everything she’s written and am eagerly waiting her latest release. I will never tire of witty, lovable characters. In the meantime, I’ll still reminisce about her awesome paranormal romance debut, Bride (review here).
- Toni Morrison – I know when I finish my goal to read all of her work, I will wish there was more. I find her writing so beautiful, emotional, and engaging. I’m glad I still have plenty of her work to read.
