Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Bookish Brags/Confessions. We opted to pick 10 Brags – and we’ve focused them on blog posts, sections of our website we are proud of, and some of our digital reading accessories. We’re still kind of new at this, but really enjoying it!
Shout out to Lydia for thinking of this idea, we love it! What are some of your Bookish Brags?
Alyssa
My first “Crazy Wall”. Ok, so far it’s my only crazy wall, but I can already tell this is my new hobby. So, be forewarned.
I did a deep dive on Mariana Zapata books in order to figure out the chronological book order and connections between books. This was practically an addiction and so, so fun.
Meagan
Our logo (made by Alyssa). I can’t tell you how goofy I felt sending her an “RBF selfie”, but I love the logo(s) so so much.
Alyssa, promise to never share that photo.
Alyssa
Awww, thanks Meagan! I had so much fun designing that logo. And what photo??? 😉
While working on our RBF joint review of Funny Story Meagan mentioned that she noticed an abundance of pop culture references. So, what do two Type A ladies do? We split the book in half and jotted down EVERY reference. The resulting word cloud was perfection.
Meagan
Our Instagram and Facebook. We each contribute to creating the images for all our posts (and some social only posts), and I have to say it is pretty cute and definitely a reflection of our personalities.
Alyssa
We have Meagan to thank for the social media presence. I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m not even a Boomer.
But I do know how to be obsessive about tracking my reading, goals, etc. Hence my digital book journal. Funny story… My iPad once spent four days at the San Francisco airport when I accidentally left it on the plane. Before I knew it was found, I grieved for my digital planner and my book journal. Yes, I have those syncing to the cloud now. Lesson learned. (Thank you United workers for keeping my baby safe!!!)
Meagan
Oh my goodness, I didn’t know the lost iPad story, I cannot image! Speaking of your digital book journal, I think you need to brag a little about how many books you read! You are goals, friend.
I’m proud of our first RBF review post – for two perfectionists it was hard to just hit publish!
Alyssa
Our first RBF post will always be special. We certainly picked a fun one to start with. LOL.
She’s right – I do read quite a bit, which makes reading brackets so fun. Might as well make it a contest to see which one is the Best Book of the year! Hmmm, maybe we should create our own RBF Book Review bracket for 2025. What do you think, Meagan?
Meagan
I love that idea! We need to read more books together for that reason and because it’s already so much fun.
My book photo shoots are a good creative outlet for me. I have so much fun “styling” the books with items related to the story. I think my favorite has been the one I did for my House in the Cerulean Sea review.
The buttons…if you know you know.
Alyssa
Meagan’s photos are so cute, it almost makes me wish I still collected physical books. Digital book covers are just not the same.
Meagan and I have been swapping digital stickers for a while. Not all of them have been appropriate for sharing on this site (oops), but I do love the stickers we made for the book Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez. We should probably get back to making post-appropriate stickers…
Meagan
We really should, we should add that to our digital planner. 😉
I’m proud of US! Honestly, the entire website has been so fun to build. We’ve had so much fun coming up with ideas for pages (can you spot all the puns).
I specifically love our About the Authors page and the formatting of our dialogue in many of our posts. It’s how we talk in real life for the most part which is exactly how this whole thing came to be.

What a nice approach to the topic! I don’t like having my photo taken so I really like what you did.
You’ll need to tell me more about the stickers. How does someone use the? Not a boomer either, just don’t know 🤣
Thank you!
I use the digital stickers on my iPad in the planner app I have and they can be used in GoodNotes journals (what I use for my book journal). It’s silly, but I love decorating the pages. 🙂
Wow, glad to hear nothing happened to your ipad! From what I understand they’re un-hackable, but that doesn’t stop people from seeing a device and thinking they can do something with it.
Thanks! That was my worry too… being able to retrieve my data and not have the iPad destroyed. Even the Apple pencil was still in the case. LOL. I’ve flown twice since and was VERY careful.
Digital stickers are so cute. And I love what you have done with this site. 🙂
Thanks Lydia!! ❤️
This is so cute! Just discovering your blog through TTT – I LOVE the annual stats page (and so glad you were able to retrieve your iPad!)
Reading Bracket is such a fun idea <3
Thanks for stopping by! Meagan and I have a lot of fun with this.
Your book journal looks super cute and fun! I use Goodreads as my book journal, but it’s not nearly as eye-pleasing as yours 🙂
Happy TTT!

Thank you! The book journal is so much fun for recording the info the way I want and to decorate it.
That is so lucky that you got your iPad back safe and sound. I hope you two have a fabulous week.
