Top Ten Tuesday – Couple Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Covers with [Item] on the Cover.

Since we both enjoy contemporary romance, we decided to select books with couples on the cover. However, these covers disguise some serious spice. The couples aren’t nearly as sweet (or bland) as they appear.

All of our Top Ten Tuesday Couple Covers selections have an adequate amount of spice, if that’s what you enjoy.

Alyssa

I selected five books that I’ve read this year. The couples on the covers are super cute and sweet, but phew, these books are hiding LOTS of spice. Reminds me of my favorite sticker that Meagan gave me “Smut and spice and everything nice.” LOL. Aside from the spice, I really enjoyed the stories by Tessa Bailey and KJ Charles.

Awake at Dawn by Amelie Rhys
The Secret Lives of Country Gentlemen by KJ Charles
Icebreaker by Hannah Grace. Top Ten Tuesday Couple Covers
A Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel by KJ Charles

I love our matching stickers, accessories are so important!

All of these covers are so cute! And, I love that we both selected Tessa Bailey books – her books were some of the first I read that fit this prompt! I’ve enjoyed multiple books from all of these authors, except for Lily Gold (which is funny because she writes a lot about multiples).

It is worth nothing – I broke the couple category with Three Swedish Mountain Men. Thanks again Alyssa for that recommendation.

  1. Someone else did this theme this week, too! There are so many couple covers out there. 🙂

  2. Icebreaker has a cute cover.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  3. Nice covers. And never judge a book by its cover lol I’m always taken back by the space in some seemingly light romances.

  4. I loved Hook, Line and Sinker. I want to read Get A Life Chloe Brown.

    Have a great week!

  5. I did the same theme this week and, surprisingly, didn’t duplicate any of the books you have here. I guess that means there are more covers like this than anyone realized.

  6. I rarely read romance and when I do, I like it to be the sweet, closed-door variety. Because of that, I find these kinds of covers horribly misleading. They’re so cutesy that they seem to imply sweet romances. I would be really disappointed to find so much spice in them. Thanks for the warning!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
