Alyssa’s reading goals.

Womp womp. I tanked my March reading goals. And you know what? I blame Meagan. Because she is full of great ideas, I spent more time in March designing a website for book reviews than reading books to review! It also didn’t help that I decided to prep for House of Flame and Shadow by rereading the first two Crescent City books. And I’m only at 50% on the first one. So April is going to take a hit as well. LOL. I’ll do my best to get back on track with my 2024 reading goals and challenges, though.

To meet my March reading goals, I should have read three books for my category challenge and two for the ICYMI challenge. (This is self-inflicted because I track on a bracket and to get a symmetrical bracket it needs to be 16 books, not 12. Don’t judge.) Basically, I managed five books, but only three were towards my challenges. One was for an RBF joint-review (coming soon!) and the other was a library loan that came available after weeks and weeks of waiting (Worth the wait? Nope. This was my only two star review this month.).

I gave all three books five stars and really enjoyed them!

In April, I plan to read two cozy mysteries and a nonfiction by an author from my home state to satisfy the category challenge (fingers crossed my library loans don’t expire first!). I will also need to read a book published in 2015 for ICYMI. Not to mention continuing to reread the Crescent City books. I’m going to shake off March and get a fresh start.
