My October selections were a lot of fun this year. A dash of sweet fall-themed romcom, some not-terribly-spooky fantasy, and plenty of spice.
I’m running out of time to meet my 2024 challenge goals, but on target for number of books read. I hope to make some more progress towards the Category challenge in November by reading a book with color in the title and something by an author from my home state. For the ICYMI challenge, I still need to read books published in 2021 through 2023. Not feeling optimistic about it, but looking forward to trying!

I kinda cheated this month and read one book that covered both challenges. The end of the year is coming and I’m getting desperate. LOL.
- Where The Lost Wander by Amy Harmon – Category “Set in Wilderness”
- While I STILL haven’t finished it, I did read more of Midnight at Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the World’s Greatest Nuclear Disaster by Adam Higginbotham

I happen to believe every story is a love story if you catch it at the right moment, slantwise in the light of dusk.

Upcoming
I must finish Midnight at Chernobyl. I refuse to read this in my mad holiday binge I know is coming in December. And I have seven more books to read if I plan to meet my challenge goals. I don’t really see myself completing the ICYMI challenge, but I’ll do my best!!
What are your goals (or reading binge plans) for November?
