It’s May and of course I have another book haul. I swear I won’t buy any books next month. I don’t have a book sale as an excuse like I did last month, I just have a book buying problem.
In my defense, two of these were gifts for Mother’s day (from my fursons).
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This is one I’ve had on my TBR for a while and the dogs were listening and got me this one.
- Dreamland by Nicholas Sparks. This is another gifted one, but I’ve never seen it. I don’t think I’ve ready anything by Nicholas Sparks.
- This Summer Will be Different by Carley Fortune. I already read this and it’s so good. I didn’t love her debut novel, but this one is her best yet. Alyssa, please read this soon so we can talk about it!
- The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren – This already made our list for floral covers – it is SO PRETTY.
- You May Now Kill the Bride by Kate Weston. This one just sounded fun and the red cover caught my eye.
The next two were the result of me going to the bookstore with my two little sisters and telling them to pick two books randomly. It was fun – outcome TBD.
- Meg & Jo by Virgina Kantra
- Where You End by Abbot Kahler
My library book of the month is The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley. The only reason I had the shelf control to not purchase this one is because I was first in line for the library’s hold. When I picked it up, the librarian said “Oh, we just got this one” and I said “I know I was so excited to be first in line”. So, thank you to my library hold system for preventing me from purchasing this one.
