Are you wondering what gifts to get the book lovers in your life? If you’re anything like us you love the holiday season. We wanted to share some of our ideas for gifting book lovers in your life. We prefer not to be gifted books, unless we’ve provided our TBR. A book surprise is nice, but we both own so many we fear duplicates! So, if you don’t have your loved ones TBR handy – here are some ideas!
We hope these ideas inspire you or maybe even result in some gifts to yourself.
Curl Up With a Good Book
- Gift Card
- Ideally to a local bookstore or bookshop.org
- E-reader
- We both have a Kindle Paperwhite. These are so much easier on the eyes than an iPad or other backlit tablet.
- The new Kindle Colorsoft looks really interesting, but has mixed reviews so far.
- Book Holder
- Those hefty fantasy volumes won’t hold themselves. There are so many options for both physical books and eReaders.
- Page Turner for e-reader
- Not sure it gets better than hands-free reading. Between this and the book holder, they will be living their best reader life.
- Snuggie or Blanket
- Every reader deserves something cozy to read under.
- Bonus points for a cute book theme or print (and please share!).
Make A Yummy Pie {Chart}
- StoryGraph Membership
- We use the free version currently, both separately (Alyssa and Meagan) and a joint RBF account, but we’ve been eyeing that Plus membership and all the lovely graphs. (Maybe we should just gift it to each other.)
- Reading Journal
- Readers of physical books would likely enjoy a pretty hardbound journal to track their reading progress and review books.
- Those with eReaders might enjoy a digital journal. You can purchase pre-made or make your own.
Wear Your Emotions
- Book Quote Art
- The options are endless here! You could make your own or scroll the endless options on Etsy.
- Stickers & Buttons
- If you know their favorite book, series, or author there are probably stickers or buttons available for them, but fun stickers are always a win – and they can put them on their e-reader you get them, too.
- Bookmarks
- It’d be super fun to receive a handmade bookmark – this would be so fun to personalize for the recipient, too.
- There are a ton of options at bookstores and online for fun bookmarks, if crafting isn’t your thing!
- Book apparel
- Etsy has endless options that are cute, funny, and cozy.
