Top Ten New Releases

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Most Anticipated Books Releasing During the Second Half of 2024. For this prompt, we each selected 5 new releases (our top ten new releases) we’re excited about. Because, just when you think you can refrain from purchasing more books, you realize there are some new ones you must read being released.

Meagan
The Summer Pact by Emily Griffin cover.
By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult cover
Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune cover
Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty cover
Make the Season Bright by Ashely Herring Blake.

This list was so fun to put together. I didn’t realize some of these were being released in the second half of the year. Like the Ashely Herring Blake winter one (gasp). Emily Griffin is an author I’ve enjoyed for a long time and I’m looking forward to that summer read. I’m also excited to do an RBF joint review for Somewhere Beyond the Sea since I loved the first in this series so much. Here’s to meeting the rest of my goals with some of these picks!

I already pre-ordered two of these books. Oops.

Alyssa
The Life Impossible by Matt Haig
Is She Really Going Out with Him? by Sophie Cousens
Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune
How to hide in Plain Sight by Emma Noyes
The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman

This list was a little harder for me than I think it was for Meagan. The first half of 2024 had so many releases from my favorite authors that I could not wait for and pre-ordered. There were fewer I found in the second half of the year. Although I have enjoyed books from three of the authors below (Haig, Cousens, and Klune) and found two new ones that look great. And any book that both Meagan and I are excited to read for another joint review is a win.
