Top Ten Summer TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Books on My Summer 2024 To-Read List. For this prompt, we’ve each selected 5 books on our must read lists for summer 2024. What’s on your summer reading list? Do you pick specific books for the seasons?

I had a hard time narrowing this down to 5. But, to all the books that didn’t make the list… your time will come (eventually). Two of these are on hold with my library app, but the other three are just sitting there on my e-shelves waiting for me to crack them open.

Midnight in Chernobyl seems a bit heavy for a summer read. It will however knock off one of my reading challenge categories!

I am looking forward to an excuse to read some “beach reads”. I have a few blocks of time off work scheduled, so I’m hoping to get through some of the books that have been on my list. Most of these are recent purchases, but some have been hanging out for a while or have been on my TBR forever.

I tried to mix up the genre and failed, but hey, there’s one non-romance in the pile!

  1. I adored Project Hail Mary. If you like it, the movie was every bit as good, too.

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

I’m super excited for Project Hail Mary, I’ve heard so many fantastic things about it.

  2. Beach Read looks fun.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  3. Have fun with Andy Weir! It’s so different from his two other books, but very imaginative.

  4. PROJECT HAIL MARY is a great one (and I don’t even like sci-fi very much)! I’ve been meaning to read MIDNIGHT IN CHERNOBYL ever since it came out. I need to get it already. I hope you guys enjoy your summer reads.

    Happy TTT!

  5. I often put Midnight in Chernobyl on my challenge possibilities TBRs and then never get round to it because I am not in the mood. I loved Beach Read though.
