This week for TTT we’re discussing Great Debuts. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new prompt each week. This week’s prompt is Debut Novels We Enjoyed.
We each selected 5 novels we thought were great debuts. What debut novels would you include on this list?

Three of these debut novels are from 2024 and I really enjoyed them. The Ministry of Time was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend. I also rated How to Solve your Own Murder 5 stars. The others were all solid 4 star reads for me. In fact I mention Bee Ridgeway in a previous Top Ten Tuesday post on authors we wish for more books from. I wish the series had been completed, but The River of No Return was still worth the read.

I’ve discussed a few of these in previous TTT posts (here and here). The Bluest Eye is beautifully written and heartbreaking, but everyone should read it. Fight Club is one I read and college and loved, it’s on my re-read list, actually. The book is way better than the movie. And, Remarkably Bright Creatures is one I thought may be overhyped because I saw it everywhere for a while. It is not overhyped, but I do think it is misrepresented as a happy, heartwarming story. This book has tremendous depth, including a theme of grief and moving on. Honorable mention goes to The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood – I loved this book!

The Bluest Eye was excellent.
I have Legends and Lattes on my list too. 🙂 I also want to read How to Solve Your Own Murder.
I’ve read a bunch of these! Legends & Lattes was a pleasant surprise. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Ahahah, Fight Club. Read it a few years ago but didn’t review it since we’re not allowed talk about it. 😉
How to Solve Your Own Murder sounds intriguing! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Legends and Lattes almost made it onto my list as well! It was such a fun, cozy read.
You both have some fantastic reads on your lists.
