I’m honestly not thrilled with my Q2 Stats. In Q2 (April – June), I read the exact same as last quarter. I don’t feel like a good book blogger! My 52 book goal for the year is still on target, though. I did my best to pay attention to my other reading goals, unlike last quarter, and I don’t think I did any better. I am all sorts of failing.

April and June were both slumps for me and I don’t really know why. I’ve been having trouble allocating time to read for some reason. Most of the books I read were good, so it’s not their fault. I didn’t DNF anything this quarter, but I did struggle with a popular book and was an outlier at my book club, when I was one of the few that didn’t enjoy the book.

I did complete my library’s 24 in 2024 reading challenge. Whoo hoo!

Goals

Spoiler Alert – I didn’t do great.

Written before the 2000s

I failed at this one, but I did start one in June written in 1994, does that count? There were too many new releases this quarter!

I am also hoping to read the Secret Garden with my niece while she is on summer break.

Genre Variety

I did mix it up some this quarter, but not as much as last quarter. I’m calling it a win. Again, I blame all the new releases. Here’s to next quarter – maybe I’ll aim for 50% non-romance again. I did just buy a few non-romance books for authors I love!
