I love wrapping up the end of every year. There’s something satisfying about noting all my accomplishments and tying it up in a neat bow. Or StoryGraph charts. My 2024 Wrap Up includes 159 books read, slightly beating my goal for the year. I intended to read new genres with my 2024 reading goals and challenges. I did (mostly) complete both challenges.
Looking back, I struggled to get through the genre challenge and found I just didn’t enjoy some of it. I now know I am not a fan of Jane Austin retellings, for instance. I’ll have to find a less restrictive way to expand my selections for 2025. I also am learning that it’s ok not to meet my goals – because it’s not worth spending time on a book I don’t enjoy!
Hope you had a fantastic reading journey in 2024!

Favorite Quotes
I came across so many great quotes this year that they take up 3 pages in my reading journal. I have a whole post for my favorite quotes of the year because I couldn’t pick just one. Below are two of my favorite quotes from December.
He wanted to undress her brain, stroke her perspective, make her gasp out the most fascinating theory she hid from all other men.
India Holton – The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love
It was too early in the morning for this level of insanity.
Laurie Gilmore – The Pumpkin Spice Cafe
Upcoming
I am still working on writing up my 2025 goals, but I do have a few new releases I’m looking forward to in January and an RBF book review of The Book Swap with Meagan. Plus a reread of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame are required before Onyx Storm is releases later in the month!
